TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated 2026.

1. Who We Are

Off The Street Australia ("OTSA", "we", "us") organises and hosts burnout, drag and drift motorsport events across Australia. These terms apply to anyone who creates an account, becomes a competitor member, buys a ticket, or enters a vehicle in an OTSA event.

2. Competitor Membership

Competitor membership is free and doesn't expire. It unlocks the ability to add vehicles to your garage and enter OTSA events. It does not itself entitle you to compete in any specific event — event entry is separate, may carry its own entry fee, and may be capped, closed, or subject to additional conditions set by event organisers.

OTSA may suspend a membership for breach of these terms or the Code of Conduct (Section 6) — your garage and event entry are locked and your profile is hidden from public pages until it's reinstated by an admin.

If your account is deleted and you have no event history (no entries, scores, tickets or other records tied to it), it's removed outright. If you do have history, your personal details are removed instead (your name is replaced with "Former Member", your contact details are deleted) so competition history and leaderboards remain accurate, and the account can no longer be logged into.

3. Event Entry & Tickets

Competitor entries, spectator tickets and buddy passes may each be capped per event. Entering an event or buying a ticket does not guarantee the event will proceed as scheduled — events can be rescheduled, relocated or cancelled due to weather, venue availability, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control.

Tickets and passes are tied to the person named on them and are checked at the gate via the QR code issued in your portal (or shown on your ticket confirmation page if purchased as a guest). Treat your ticket QR code like cash — anyone who has it can use it to gain entry.

You're responsible for making sure the information you provide when entering an event (including your vehicle and contact details) is correct. If it needs correcting after you've submitted it, a $30 admin fee applies — entries left incorrect or incomplete because this wasn't followed through may be forfeited. Entering online through this site doesn't replace any paperwork AASA (our event insurer/sanctioning body) or the venue requires you to sign in person on the day — you'll still need to do that before competing; see Section 5.

4. Refunds

We don't offer refunds for change of mind once a ticket or event entry fee payment is complete.

This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If an event you've bought a ticket or entry for is cancelled by us and not rescheduled, or if there's a major problem with what you paid for, you're entitled to a refund or other remedy under those guarantees — nothing in this policy limits that. If you believe you're entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law, contact us at contact@offthestreetaustralia.com.

5. Assumption Of Risk, Release & Waiver Of Liability

Burnout, drag and drift motorsport are inherently dangerous activities involving high-performance vehicles, loss of traction, smoke, noise, heat and fire risk. By entering a vehicle, attending as a spectator, or otherwise being present at an OTSA event, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Competitors are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is safe, roadworthy/track-worthy, and compliant with the event's technical and safety requirements as set out in the event's own supplementary regulations and driver briefing. OTSA events are run under event insurance and sanctioning arranged through the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) — this does not replace the need for competitors and spectators to understand and accept the risks involved, or the requirement to sign AASA's own on-the-day paperwork (see below).

By competing, officiating, volunteering, working for, or otherwise participating in any way in an OTSA event, or entering any restricted area (any pit, track, burnout pad or other area requiring authorisation or credentials to enter), you — for yourself, your personal representatives, heirs and next of kin:

  1. Acknowledge that if at any time you consider anything in a restricted area to be unsafe, you will immediately tell event officials, leave the restricted area and/or stop participating.
  2. Release, waive, discharge and agree not to sue Off The Street Australia, the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance and its officers, the event organisers, landowners, venue operators, track officials, other competitors, car owners, drivers, pit crews, rescue personnel, sponsors, and anyone else involved in running or inspecting the event (together, the "Releasees") for all liability for injury to, or death of, yourself arising out of or related to the event — whether caused by a Releasee's negligence or otherwise — to the fullest extent permitted by the law of South Australia, Australian law and the Australian Consumer Law.
  3. Assume full responsibility for any risk of personal injury or death arising out of or related to the event, whether caused by a Releasee's negligence or otherwise, and acknowledge that the activities involved are genuinely dangerous.
  4. Acknowledge that injuries received may be made worse by negligent rescue operations or procedures, and accept that risk as part of this release too.
  5. Take full responsibility for the preparation and safety of your own vehicle, and confirm it has been checked and is in a condition fit to be used for motorsport.
  6. Agree this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as the law allows, covering all acts of negligence by the Releasees including negligent rescue — if any part of it is found invalid, the rest continues to apply in full.

6. Code of Conduct & Zero Tolerance Policy

Judges' decisions on matters they're appointed to judge are final. Competitors, spectators and anyone associated with an entry are expected to treat officials, judges, volunteers and other attendees with respect. OTSA may refuse entry, disqualify a competitor, or ban a member from future events for unsafe conduct, abuse of officials, or breach of these terms.

Venues including Mallala Motorsport Park and The Bend Motorsport Park (Dragway at The Bend) operate a zero tolerance policy toward misuse of the venue and toward vulgar or abusive treatment of staff and volunteers, after past incidents put public safety at risk. While on venue — in the pits, on track or in the burnout pad area — you're expected to keep a high standard of control over your vehicle at all times. The venue specifically targets:

  • Turning tyres anywhere other than the designated burnout pad.
  • Driving back to the pits on rims in an unsafe manner — use the tyre-changing area provided instead.
  • Consuming or bringing alcohol or drugs into the venue.
  • Leaving your allocated garage or parking area in a poor condition after the event.
  • Leaving tyres or other bulk items behind in the venue.

Breaching any of the above forfeits your entry for the day — including any points already earned in competition — and may see everyone involved barred from entering future events at that venue. By entering an OTSA event you agree to abide by these directions from promoters and venue management.

7. Photos & Other Content You Upload

If you upload a photo (for example, to your vehicle's garage profile) or submit any other content to this site, you confirm that you own it or have the photographer's or creator's permission to use it here, and you're responsible for that content. You grant OTSA a licence to display it on the site and in related promotional material for OTSA events.

If a photographer or other rights holder believes content on this site uses their work without permission, contact contact@offthestreetaustralia.com and we'll remove it while the matter is resolved. OTSA takes no responsibility for content uploaded by members and may remove any content at its discretion.

8. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or attendance at events after an update means you accept the revised terms.
